Since 1998 we have worked with medical volunteers and Dr. Acosta,
a Peruvian doctor, to host annual medical clinics in the jungle and
coastal areas of Peru.
Our first trip came as a result of our team entering Mosquito Playa, a
jungle village in the southern Amazon region, and encountering
children with obvious medical problems. Problems such as
malnutrition, intestinal parasites, diarrhea, skin rashes and many
infected cuts. Upon returning to the USA, we talked with our family
physicians who expressed an interest in returning to Peru with us to
address these issues. Thus far we have hosted over 10 medical
teams to Peru.

In 1999 we began giving Albendazole and vitamins to each person we saw in the villages and communities. Tylenol and other
medicines were given as needed.
Each person receives personal attention by a medical doctor and free medication. Everyone has the chance to be prayed
with and to receive salvation if desired.
With each passing year we have the opportunity to minister to more people. With our first clinics, we saw less than 800
people. For the last four years the teams have personally touched between 1700- 2000 people each year.
At present these are annual trips by one group of doctors. We would like to see more medical teams come to Peru. We are
also hoping to add a dental clinic in the future.
