| Meet 2008's Intern |
July 2008 - October 2008
After high school graduation, Laurel took a semester off before starting college to volunteer as an office intern with CALI. Because of her previous office experience, she has performed many office tasks including updating the website and creating video and PowerPoint presentations for projects on which we are currently working.
Laurel is from Bartow County, Georgia in the USA and celebrated her eighteenth birthday shortly after arriving in Peru. She desires to return to Peru and teach English as a Second Language before teaching Spanish and Theater in high school in Georgia. Her ultimate goal is to become a school system superintendent.

| GET INVOLVED WITH OUR INTERNSHIP PROGRAM! |
Change A Life International is now proud to offer
a form of internship program. To date, CALI has
hosted medical students to train in Peru and also
one intern to help out in the office.
By taking in these individuals, CALI has been
able to allow these young people to see and
experience more than they might have been able
to otherwise. It is a wonderful and eye-opening
experience for each person as they learn about
Peru and about working with others in meetings,
on trips across Peru, and other activities.
For the younger people, it is a way to spread his
or her wings and see, taste, hear, smell, and feel
a new part of the world in this exciting adventure.
Of course, it's not all fun and games. Each intern
is expected to perform certain duties to his or her
ability which may include but not be limited to:
web page maintenance, maintaining a filing
system, create PowerPoints and other
presentations, type letters, and make phone calls.
Knowledge of at least basic Spanish is a plus but
not required. Each intern must apply with an
open heart and come to Peru with an open mind
about many things.
